WHO WE ARE

A diverse community on a journey with Christ

New Hackensack Reformed Church (NHRC) is a member of the Reformed Church in America (RCA), the oldest Protestant denomination in America. Founded in 1758, we celebrated 250 years of ministry in 2008. Our present sanctuary was completed in 1990.

OUR MISSION

A diverse community on a journey with Christ

The mission of New Hackensack Reformed Church is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ according to the Word of God. As we grow in our commitment to Jesus Christ, we reach out in love, compassion, and kindness to the people of our community and our world. We share the blessings of Christ's love through worship, music, Bible study, prayer, education, mission, and service.

OUR COMMUNITY

Who attends this church?

NHRC is a very diverse community of Christians spanning all age groups from many denominations. While we have people who grew up in the Reformed Church, most of our congregation came from Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, and Baptist backgrounds.

We believe this diversity of faith backgrounds is one of our great strengths. We believe we are all on a journey with Christ and can grow and learn from each other as we remain true to God's Word.
